Every year the same pictures circulate: huge halls, glowing booths, cameras under glass. For a creative studio, these shows are not decoration. They are where, a year or two ahead, we see how your films will be shot, graded and delivered. Here is how we read them, and what it means for you.
Why a studio follows trade shows
A professional audiovisual show is a snapshot of the craft: new cameras and lenses, LED lighting, drones, stabilisers, editing and grading tools, delivery chains. What is announced there reaches real shoots, often within months. Following these events helps us pick the right gear for your project rather than the gear of the moment.
We do not claim to buy or test everything: a good film starts with an idea, light and an edit. But understanding where the image is heading helps us advise you better.

Broadcast and cinema: NAB, IBC, Inter BEE
NAB Show, run by the National Association of Broadcasters, is the reference for video production, TV and radio broadcasting and digital cinema. It takes place in April in Las Vegas. For a studio, it is the barometer for cameras, lenses and post-production tools.
IBC is its European counterpart, every September in Amsterdam. Cloud, Ultra HD, creation and distribution chains are the themes. It helps us understand how a video really reaches your customers’ screens: formats, HDR, subtitles, streams.
Inter BEE, in Japan, is the major Asia-Pacific meeting for professional audio and video equipment (its 62nd edition, in November). It is a reminder that many innovations in optics, sensors and audio are born there.
Stage, lighting, live performance: PLASA and Prolight + Sound
The PLASA Show in London brings together lighting, sound, effects and staging for live performance. For us it is a source of ideas for events, conferences and recordings: good stage lighting changes everything on camera.
A note: Prolight + Sound in Frankfurt had no standalone edition in 2026. It was folded into Light + Building as a themed area (8 to 13 March). If you were looking for its usual dates, that is why.
In France: SATIS and Paris Audio Video Show
SATIS is France’s reference show for media, entertainment and audiovisual communication technology: over 230 exhibitors and more than 60 talks, covering AI, broadcast, post-production and audio. It comes with Screen4All, a showcase of young innovative companies. It is the most accessible event for a Paris studio, on 4 and 5 November.
The Paris Audio Video Show leans towards enthusiastic consumers: hi-fi, home cinema, projectors, OLED and Mini-LED TVs. It runs from 24 to 26 October at the Palais des Congrès, with the last day reserved for professionals. For us it is a way to see and hear what your audience will see and hear at home.
What this changes for your content
- Gear chosen for the project. Brand film, interview, report or drone: we match the equipment to your need. See our equipment.
- Deliverables built for today’s screens. Vertical and horizontal formats, subtitles, short cuts: one shoot serves several uses.
- Controlled turnaround. Post-production tools are moving fast. Used as an assistant, they speed up the work without replacing the eye.
- Better-covered events. Lighting, sound, live: see our advice on live-streaming your event.
Tip Exhibiting at a show yourself? Plan the content together with the stand. See our article on trade shows.
At that dog, we follow these events for a simple reason: your image should match what your customers see everywhere else. Photo, video and drone: we choose the right tools to make that happen.
