For the year-end celebrations, Engie GBS offered its employees a moment of lightness: an interactive show broadcast online, entirely digital, with 700 connected participants.

01 — The challenge

Making 700 employees smile, remotely.

To celebrate the end of the year, Engie GBS wanted to step away from the usual corporate format and offer its teams a break.

The goal: bring everyone together online around games, music and humour rather than a corporate message.

How do you gather 700 people remotely without falling into a classic webinar?
How do you let every participant play from their own phone?
How do you create a real party atmosphere in front of a screen?

That’s where That Dog comes in.

02 — The stakes

Entertain, above all.

The event had to:

offer a moment of lightnessbring 700 employees together onlinelet everyone take part liveblend games, music and humourstay true to the Engie GBS identityleave a lasting memory on video
Our approach

Not just film a live broadcast.

Make people feel the atmosphere of a TV show.

03 — The concept

An interactive show, shot in a studio.

The event took the form of an interactive television show, shot at the Le Pigeonnier studio in Paris’s 16th arrondissement, in a winter set made of trees, wooden decor and soft lighting. A custom webinar platform in Engie GBS colours let everyone follow the show, and a QR code turned each smartphone into a game controller for a 40-question quiz split into 4 sequences of 10 (current events, general knowledge, music). A professional host ran the game, joined by two humorous “elf referees”, musician elves who played live covers and led the blind tests, and pre-recorded voicemails from employees presented as “wishes to Santa”.

A shared year-end, even from a distance.

Seven hundred employees played, laughed and sang together, and the company has a behind-the-scenes film to extend the moment.
